patongphil
Just looking around the streets of late I am beginning to wonder whether there has ever been an Australian come over here without wearing his Bintang top of sorts? Must be some form of badge of honour in surviving Bali.

NamKangMan
I thought it may have been because of the Phuket - Bali - Phuket AirAsia route. Some Australians may have split their holiday beween 5 nights Bali and 5 nights Phuket, but a check of AirAsia's website shows that route has ended. Old Croc
OK, I confess. About two decades ago, I owned a Bintang T/shirt. (They were unique then)

Ping
I can't be much of an Aussie, then - had never heard of them before today. I'll have to keep a look out...
KarenBravo
It's the Indonesian equivalent of Singha beer. It can be bought all over the archipelago and suspiciously doesn't need refrigeration to stop it going off. Getting a hang-over before you finish the first bottle is another sign. NamKangMan
"Must be some form of badge of honour in surviving Bali." - I hope you are not referring to the bombings. That would be in poor taste, and I'm not talking about the beer.
NamKangMan
I think they look nice That should be a "Buntang" or "Bumtang" shirt. Edited September 11, 2013 by NamKangMan

hanno
Here in Cambodia, it is either a Hoc Chi Minh T-shirt, a Bintang, a Beer Lao, or a "Danger, Mines" shirt. All very original. Not!
Old Croc
Footy season in Australia is drawing to a close. It'll be wall to wall bogans wearing Bintang singlets in Bangla Rd when the footy club trips start. Be warned.
IrishIvan
Air asia flights out of Darwin to Bali and then Phuket will only increase the sightings of Bintang singlets and mullett haircuts
Songhua
I see on average three or four people wearing Bintang singlets per day in Australia. Even kids have them. They're better than the 'I've Been To Bali Too' shirts though.

I don't think AirAsia fly the Phuket - Bali - Phuket route anymore.
