September 12, 201312 yr Low cost carrier AirAsia X is reportedly on the verge of introducing Thai AirAsia X, which will be based on the same model as its Malaysian parent. The carrier wants to follow a strategy of challenging medium and long-haul airlines on what it believes has been an uncontested market share. The company is aiming for a launch in early 2014 and is expected to start business with two wide-bodied A330s running services between Don Mueang Airport and Japan and South Korea.
