PETERTHEEATER
I apologise for offending you. I am not rude so their is no need to pity me. I thought that chlotes were some kind of garment for which the foreign name has been drawn into the English language. For example, PARKA and CAGOUL (is that the correct spelling?) Since I have been away from Europe for most of my working life and am now retired I find that I lose touch with contemporary English language and my question was genuine. Why so RUDE ??? Im not an English speaker. Others here understand me. Why not you!!I feel pity for you !!
Limbo
Hi!Yes I mean "clothes"? but I still dont like the rude post ! Being the moderator with the most lousy English of this forum I have to express my solidarity with you. Dear Bronzom, have compassion with these naugthy chaps. They don't know what they do. I think 'chlotes' is actually a very nice word. With my Dutch background I would have interpreted the meaning of it as 'testicles' . Good that I didn't try to answer your question . Keep up the spirit! I don't think Petertheeater intended to be rude. Just naughty. Move up North. As Vic already pointed out, this is the place to be! Some of my friends have their klotes tailormade.
