crafty1
If I have booked separately the following, can my bags be checked all the way through and I just transit at Swampy, or do I have to claim my bags and check in again at Swampy? Phuket -> swampy - Bangkok air Swampy -> Sydney - Qantas Currently the Phuket flight I'm looking at arrives 16.00 and the Sydney flight departs 18.25, so I just checking I have enough time (I think I do). Finally do the Bangkok Air flights get cancelled and delayed a lot from Phuket, I've had problems before in Samui with that. Thanks
crafty1
I've answered my own query, incase anyone else has the same query. Yes it is possible to check in at phuket to connect through to an international flight for certain carriers. 75 minute min transit required. Aussieroaming
mate If you check into domestic from Phuket to BKK you need to retrieve your bags and re-check at the international floor if you have an alliance carrier and you check into international check in,e.g. if Bangkok Air are allied to Qantas you could book through, though I didn't think they were allied. If you check in at international in Phuket then your bags go all the way. From what you explained it sounds like you need to check into domestic in Phuket and then International in BKK. And in Bangkok make sure domestic is flying into the same airport as the international flight is leaving.
