What's your favorite Muay Thai stadium in Bangkok?

Featured Replies

New Muay Thai sub-forum, cool! Let's get some conversations going.

What is your favorite Muay Thai stadium in Bangkok and why is it your favorite?

Do you have a favorite section to sit in or know of any ways to get discounts on tickets?

Let's please limit this thread to Bangkok.

So have you guys not been to Muay Thai fights in Bangkok before?

Lumpini and Ratchadamnern are the obvious pnes, but Omnoi is one of my favorites, small and comact and a good atmosphere. Channel 7 also good, but a little too crowded

Going to miss old Lumpini. No way the new place will be able to replicate the atmosphere.

Channel 7 is where I go because it is free.

Lumpini. No air, stifling hot in April and filthy with all the trash that has dropped through the slats on the ground.

However, no better place to enjoy the true heart of Muay Thai.

I used to always stand in the 'no gambling' section of the 3rd tier cheap seats (bear in mind I am part Thai so pay Thai price) as you can get up next to the mesh without problems. I can totally understand why the gamblers must be driven crazy by foreigners sitting in the middle while they are trying to bet; I steer clear of all that.

But now since my boss started giving me tickets from time to time, I've acquired a taste for the ringside; that said I sit on the apron around where the newscasters and cameras are, as I prefer to see distance and footwork; looking up at the fighters you miss a lot. Slightly cleaner, and a little more airflow too.
