September 24, 201312 yr I presently have a visa extension and work permit from my own business. I want to change the extension based on having a dependent child. What are the document needed to get he extension Thanks
September 24, 201312 yr Are you the legal father by way of marriage or legitimization? If married and not divorced you would have to do the extension based upon marriage. Are you able to meet the financial requirements of 40k baht or 400k baht in the bank? Edited September 24, 201312 yr by ubonjoe
September 24, 201312 yr Interesting topic. Lord forbid if anything ever happened to my loving wife and she does not survive me, what the hell would I do ?as extension on marriage would surely be cancelled. I have a dependent son from our marriage.

Apologies OP, did not mean to hijack this thread. Thanks UJ, if that is true it is very reassuring. So I am assuming reason for extension would switch from 'supporting Thai wife' to 'supporting Thai son'. TY. Not likely to happen I am 20 years her senior!
September 24, 201312 yr Yes But it would be for having a Thai child not supporting. Marriage is the same. Edited September 24, 201312 yr by ubonjoe

For income if working receipts for tax payments and work permit. Proof of residence. Normal copies of passport TM6. Map to where you live Photos of you and your child in and around house. Best to check with your immigration office to confirm what they want. Two TM7 application forms and two sets of copies. You will have 30 day under consideration period before you get extension stamp. This is the best I can do. You should check for what your immigration office requires.
