Schools/education or the lack of it?

We have lived here for many years.so many good things that work better than in Europe or the US.

But what is it about education? There is a lot of talk this week about it..see Nation....

We have been trying to find a 'good ' school for our daughter...we can live anywhere....been to Krabi, Phuket, Hua Hin, Bangkok, Chiang Mai

We are not rich..so Mini English Programmes are OK....in most places appear to be taught by Indians, Philippinos, and in one case a Cameroon gentleman..............Thailand is slipping down the PISA lists every year...........last encounter with an Anuban ...the girl, who speaks, reads and writes english perfectly, according to the teacher scored 30% on an English Test.....when I read it she scored 99% and the teacher 30%.".I am going at work" teacher says is correct ha ha.. Thailand is a rich, successful country...can someone explain why money is not spent on education?
