geminiman
My wife just got her 3 month non imm. B visa and she should get her work permit soon. Do I need to wait until she gets her 12 month extension or can I apply for my 3 month type O visa when she gets her work permit and extend it for 12 months after she gets her extension? I just got a 30 day extension on my tourist visa and I would prefer not to get an other tourist visa. Is there a prefered location for geting a type O visa? or can I just go to Vientiane? ubonjoe
You could try. You would need copies of her work permit, passport photo page and visa. A letter from her employer requesting visa might help. If they deny it you could get a tourist visa instead. Vientiane would be a good location. geminiman
I have heard it can be harder for a man to get a Dependant Visa. Some thai's seem to find it hard to believe that a western man could be a dependant of his western wife. Yeah I know, half the thai men in this country live off their wife, girl friend, sister, mother, etc. Edited October 2, 2013 by geminiman
