mrjon
My stepdaughter in Thailand needs to get some documents "certified" or notarized as we call it in the states. Any idea of where she can have this done for a reasonable cost?It is free in the states, I just go to my bank and they take of these matters at no cost. phuketjock
Your stepdaughter needs to find a "notary public" which she should find at any decent law firm but I am pretty sure it will most definitely not be free. Any lawer/solicitor should be able to point her in the right direction. Edited October 3, 2013 by phuketjock
Smokin Joe
It depends on what country the documents will be used in. If you need something notarized to be used in the US the only valid one is from the US Embassy or consulate.

kikoman
It depends on what country the documents will be used in. If you need something notarized to be used in the US the only valid one is from the US Embassy or consulate. The cost the last time I used it was $50 USD per document and the need to travel to Bangkok and or Chaing Mai. If the document is in Thai you need a legal translation of it as approved by the the laws of Thailand prior to going to the US Embassy for its notary service. Good Luck!
