Jai Dee Posted April 27, 2006 Share Posted April 27, 2006 One security officer injured in blaze at Siam City Bank Chidlom A fire broke out at the Siam City Bank Chidlom branch, injuring a security officer and trapping some 30 bank employees. Fire fighters managed to evacuate the trapped 30 officials safe and sound. The fire broke out at about 7:30 pm at the 15-storey building of the bank. Fire fighters took about an hour to control the blaze. The injured security officer, Payong Sannakhon, told police that the blaze broke out at the underground electricity control room. Payong tried to braze the blaze to rescue employees who were trapped inside so he was burnt and rushed to the Ramathibodi Hospital. Source: The Nation - 27 April 2006 I think I saw this incident on Television news this morning but it was Siam Commercial Bank (Thai Panich) that had been on fire.
