gk10002000
I just used the AEON ATM in Big C on Pattaya Klang. It allows up to 20,000 Thai Baht to be withdrawn. I took out 15,000 baht. My account at Etrade bank showed $480.72 deducted. Etrade does not charge me any ATM fees except for the international ones. That was $4.80. Ignoring that for exchange comparison purposes, the exchange rate was: 15,000/480.72 = 31.20. This is in line with the daily exchange rates I have seen around the city. marmaduke
If 3 business days go by and the acct. still shows $480.72 ..only then are you in the clear. Sometimes it takes the banks on the foreign end time to take their fees. Otherwise on Oct. 14th that would be a great rate.
chickenslegs
AFAIK it is not AEON bank that sets the exchange rate for your transaction. It is your own bank.
spacemand
MasterCard and Visa sets the exchange rates and charge a 1% fee for their inconvenience. MasterCards rates: https://www.mastercard.com/global/currencyconversion/ Then your bank can add a fixed fee, a percentage on the exchange rate or a combination of both.
