So talking to a friend yesterday he tells me of a mutual friend that has been arrested for trespassing by entering an office when invited down. Story is this, Thai lady asked friend for permission to use his property for ingress/egress for her new condo development tenants. Friend tells her no, she then asks him to come to her office, and asks him again for ingress/egress permission. Again she is told no. A bit later the local bibs show up at his house and have him arrested for trespassing. He has to post a 60K bail and is already out of pocket for a lawyer. Lawyer advises to plead guilty and it all goes away.

Won't there now be a criminal record and now the friend could be subject to deportation? BTW, the Thai lady's father is a BKK judge.

Only a fool would pay a lawyer, to simply tell him to go with the flow,.

Why would this person go meet a person he is having a disagreement with, on their terms.

If the person wanted to talk to him, they should come to him.

In Thailand there are Libel "slander" laws, The lawyer should look at that response "

When are people going to learn that what the "law states" is irrelevant, the only thing that does matter is who is enforcing it, and their interpretation of it. That can then vary by who they know and how much is to be made.

If you are not Thai dont speak Thai fluently little else will matter and you are pretty much at their mercy and they know it.

Deals will be made, and you foot the bill.
