Plodprasop: Eastern floods to disappear end of Nov

BANGKOK, 22 October 2013 (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister Plodprasop Suraswadi estimates that flooding in the eastern provinces will end by November after water in the Khlong Si Yat reservoir decreased by one million cubic meters a day.

Mr Plodprasop traveled to the flood-hit Chachoengsao province on Monday to inspect the Khlong Si Yat Operation and Management Project and other submerged areas surrounding the province. The deputy minister said most of the floods had decreased and confirmed that the reservoir’s water discharge did not affect the dwellers of downstream areas.

Water at the reservoir’s spillway has recently dropped to 32 million cubic meters a day, decreasing by one million cubic meters a day.

3 billion of the total floodwater of 4 billion cubic meters in the eastern region has been pumped into the Bang Pakong River. The flood-hit provinces are expected to be back to normal at the end of next month if the rain does not fall again.

"Eastern floods to disappear, if the rain does not fall again"

What a relief for people up to their necks with water, that they will not be flooded in the dry season!!whistling.gif

This guy is pure genius!wai2.gif

Plod says " Ahm Back " and thank God for that, yesterday I was so worried by his silence.

Now I can sleep well again.

he's just adjusting the propellers. By the end of November they will have churned the water all downstream!

Plod's back.

He's been sitting in some back room for a couple of weeks with his head in his hands praying for some guidance, but now that it's stopped raining, he can step up to the podium again and say "didn't I do well"....!!

Tosser...!

Oh Goody, the floods will disappear, just in time for the annual-drought season ! rolleyes.gif

First it was a week. Then a month. Then mid November. Now it's the end of November. Why don't they just shut up and let the water drain away. They aren't doing anything about it anyway. Man, these PTP idiots sure like to see their names in the paper and on television.

As did the funds allocated concerning the flood relief scam scheme did shortly after the budget was misappropriated allocated

The more moronis quotes one gets from Plodprasop the more he reminds me of Chance the gardener in Being There.

Chance: First comes spring and summer, but then we have fall and winter. And then we get spring and summer again.

Plod: First comes rain and water, then we have propellors & wacky forecasts. And then it all goes away & we (I) solved the problem.

His background in Coastal engineering is most useful in Issan. rolleyes.gif

He is the true rival to the Great Pickled one aka Chalerm.

UPDATE:
Flooding in East worst in 50 years: Plodprasop

Flooding in Phimai district in Nakhon Ratchasima, one of the hardest hit areas, is expected to peak over the next few days.

"At this point, I am most worried about Phimai," Water and Flood Management Commission chairman Plodprasop Suraswadi said Tuesday.

Phimai was in a low-lying zone and would take in run-off water from nearby areas, he said.

Plodprasop, who is also a deputy prime minister, said the East was facing its worst floods in 50 years.

Floodwater recently swamped some public areas of the Amata Nakorn Industrial Estate in Chon Buri, a part of the East. While no factories have been inundated, the flooding forced some companies to suspend operations as workers found it hard to get to work.
