I don't know if Americans will take to the streets or not. It's certain Trump will try to overturn the results of the midterms, assuming he'll be losing at least the house. He has powerful tools that if used make him into a total dictator in that regard. What are they? Declare actions based on national security and threats from foreign powers. He has already indicated that is his game plan. So if he tries (pretty much certain), then will he succeed? He has the power to succeed so what is there to stop him? In my view, only the power of the people in the streets. I meant to say 50 million, not 59, but exact number isn't the point. The millions who showed up for the various "No Kings" protests wouldn't cut it. It would need to be exponentially bigger than that. Then the fascist Trump regime would be challenged just as has happened in Iran and China to show if they're ruthless enough to murder their own people. I think Trump is, but then people would need to follow his orders. I realize many will see this as hyperbole. I call BS on that. Will Americans show up in sufficient numbers or will they act like Putin's Russians and think politics doesn't involve them? OK, if I had to bet, I would bet Americans aren't up to this.
