LS2 helmets --- any reviews or opinions about the quality?

Going helmet shopping tomorrow! Wondering about the LS2 -- just for city use 00 that I saw in a couple of shops today. They've gotten some good reviews but wondering if anyone has used them here in tropical Thailand. How do they fare? Looking at the range from 2,000 to 3,000 baht. Any other recommendations for fibre models in that price range? Thanks!

I just bought a new helmet, my choice would have been a flip-up LS2, but they dont seem to available here in the deep south, so I ended up with a full-face Real helmet which is a real nice fit.

The shop also stocked GSB helmets, which seem pretty similar ( probably the same factory ), at 2,900B, as opposed to 3,500B for the LS2 modular helmet, but the GSB's didnt have the ratchet release chin strap as LS2's have.

But yeah, several friends had checked the LS2's and recommended them even tho' they have much more expensive helmets and I will be in Ninjabikes on my next visit to BKK to pick up a LS2 ff00370.

This might help you too .. http://sharp.direct.gov.uk/testhelmetlist?sharp-make=119&sharp-model=&sharp-type=All&sharp-rating=1&discontinued=1

have a carbon ls2 not sure what the price was (4ish or so)but not have it for a long time. must say its quite comfortable. bought it with a 600b sun visor and 350 (quality material) baclava which make it even comfortable in the heat. due to the carbon material the helmet is light what imo is also good in the warm weather

Was looking for an LS2 just today. My mate has a modular and really likes it. He paid something like 4500B for it. Sharp looking helmets, and SNELL approved which are the strictest standards. In fact the LS2 modular was the first modular to be approved by SNELL. Like all imported helmets, they are not tested to TIS (Thai Industrial Standards) and thus not legal in Thailand, but who cares.

I have an LS2 Demon.

Pretty happy about it. Certainly not as hot as my previous helmet, that one was cooking my brain in comparison.

A little more wind noise, but the Working Wicking balaclava cancelled that out.

It is DOT tested, but not TIS.
