November 22, 2013.

Good news for all those traversing the Mekong there on a weekend. In the past had to "rent" a whole ferry for as little as THB 4'000.

Is this the Chiang Khong - Houi Xai bridge? I thought that was completed months ago and already open.

Or is this the bridge over the Mekong wholly in Laos that will connect with the border north of Nan?

Or somewhere else?

Can Europeans get a visa on arival in Laos ?
