I just can't sign in on one of my Laptops

I've been using my step-daughters laptop today and tried to sign in ... have win7 ultimate and IE10. Have IE10 and win7 ultimate on my laptop also.

So I click on forum and then sign in .. I first get the Breaking news signup advert and the page dims . I close that. Click sign in again I enter my user name and then my password .. I check the password with the little 'eye' and it's correct.

After a short period I get the page back and the advert but it still is showing that I'm not signed in.

I don't have any problem when using my laptop. Anyone any ideas. Signing in for my e-mail on her laptop is no problem ... I just don't understand why I can't sign in. thanks

Late Extra ... I find that I can sign in using Chrome
