sceadugenga
I usually stay at the Wang Thong hotel. It's a bit dated but the rooms are large and comfortable and it's very central for the shopping and border crossing. http://www.booking.com/hotel/th/wang-thong.en-gb.html?aid=306395;label=mae-sai-KrsJmeBPSLjU*anfAEDPAwS13317961709%3Apl%3Ata%3Ap125%3Ap2%3Aac%3Aap1t2%3Aneg;sid=976460195f792ea2ce61887a892b51a6;dcid=1;srfid=8d64779715b2dcadfb867aadd0eb1d11e1538089X1 Edit: Secure parking as well.
