websites for posting complants

Featured Replies

Hi,

Is anyone aware of websites where i can post things to name and shame specially big companies where i have purchased something online and not recieved my item, lauched a complaint with pay pal, complaint over ruled becuase the excuse was that the company tried to call me but i did not answer so they kept my money anyway!

Is it is borderline breach of forum rules you may wish to PM me the website's name as i would be interested in other people's complants also to prevent me from going with other so called complanies that have a deal with pay pal and can rip one off but cannot be touched thanks

Well, biggie, I'm waiting for replies so I can join you on the line-up of moaners.

Trouble is, there would prolly be so many thousands of posts that in the end nobody would bother reading through them all.

This is Thailand after all. And the Thai people have a totally different thinking about responsibility, and a whole different concept about apologising or making good.

Each to their own, eh, what?

I mean - along with the freedom to build yourself a house or add a garage without years of planning permissions, not having to spend as much as your car is worth on MOT tests each year, and having nasty mean policemen who measure how many inches you are away from a road junction - also comes the price to pay of . . . erm . . . stuff like what you're on about.

I'd rather be here than in Stoke on Trent.

(But it's also one of the reasons that Thai hotels and resorts spend millions of baht every year on training their staff in the utterly foreign and noo-fangled idea of 'customer service'.)

You could always start a Thai Version of ' Watchdog ' Big C, the only worry is the Rogue Traders segment might take up hours of TV time !

Complaints are difficult in Thailand due to the Defam Laws, which are outdated and need to change, as i believe if you are offered a bad service or ripped off you should be able to name and shame the company

pantip.com is a place I guess.

For some reason I wonder if this company is not in Thailand.

This is Thailand after all. And the Thai people have a totally different thinking about responsibility,

Considering the number of complaints about things bought on eBay [possibly this item too??] and using PayPal, that seems a strange generalization. I've never experienced any problems with merchants here being irresponsible.

I would think some farang living in Thailand are stellar examples when it comes to behaving irresponsibly ... and also when it comes to drawing smug assumptions about who is thinking oddly.

FWIW Amazon.com has an extremely good reputation for customer service. If you want to buy something online, buy it there.

I would rather be anywhere, than Stoke on trent

Yes, it is impossible to get much satisfaction by complaining. My wife tells me that if I grizzle too much about the lousy drop-outs of Audio and or Vision on "Worst Ever TV" they'll simply tell me to go to another Cable provider....bottom line seems to be, "Like it or Lump It."

...and an extremely bad reputation for pretty much everything related to ethics, like paying taxes, not treating their employees like slaves and giving a <deleted> about anything but a big fat profit.

You could always try the "You dead man now! me big mafia!" blog.

Sounds dubious. Amazon is a US company. If they weren't paying their taxes I think the IRS probably would have done something about it by now.

As for making a profit, that is why corporations exist. Without profit there would be no jobs and no economy.

Amazon is also a big player in the UK, and AngThong is right.

Quote from the BBC website:

Global firms such as Starbucks, Google and Amazon have come under fire for avoiding paying tax on their British sales. There seems to be a growing culture of naming and shaming companies. But what impact does it have?

Companies have long had complicated tax structures, but a recent spate of stories has highlighted a number of tax-avoiding firms that are not seen to be playing their part.

Starbucks, for example, had sales of £400m in the UK last year, but paid no corporation tax. It transferred some money to a Dutch sister company in royalty payments, bought coffee beans from Switzerland and paid high interest rates to borrow from other parts of the business.

Amazon, which had sales in the UK of £3.35bn in 2011, only reported a "tax expense" of £1.8m.

And Google's UK unit paid just £6m to the Treasury in 2011 on UK turnover of £395m.

As Yorkie points out, they're multinational and hide their profits offshore. Yes, corporations exist to make a profit, but not all of them embrace and actively promote this kind of conditions: http://tinyurl.com/q9frvw8

Without corporations like McDonald's, we'd all be self-employed and cooking our own meals.

A biig thumbsup.gif for all them big corporashuns!

Plus with no profit it would be pointless doing any business

Yep that is true the rich get richer and the poor and middle work to keep the country going

Then again the middle and the poor are the workers of these fat cats so what it all boils down to is jealously

Some people have got it easier than others

Can you blame them. Like me I live in a tropical island surround by beaches and woman at a stones throw while people back home can't wait for bell to go home and get into the pub

I ain't going to feel bad for them I just make the best of what I have and try to make t better

I know people that started at mac Donald's cleaning toilets that are now earning over 100 k sterling a year now managing a whole area of branches from his office tower

So the big he corporation the more job opportunities there are provide you are ready to pt the hours in

Un like these hippy anti capitalists who want to savive on hand outs make me sick. If they got their way would they be ready to put food on the table for all these employees that have no job if they managed to close all corporations
