Seeking assaulter

Featured Replies

Let me start by apologizing if the forum is not the right place for this kind of request, but...

I'm seeking a French tourist who assaulted an expat at Route 66 on the night of December 3rd. As a result of assault, expat has a deep wound on the forehead and a concussion. The French was taken to police, while his coward friend fled the scene.

Police, as per their normal practice, doesn't want to do anything - they released the tourist without pressing any charges or anything.

Anybody who knows this man or can provide any advice on how to find him, please help. It is important to find this guy while he's still in Thailand.

Wanted, as per passport details:

Also would greatly appreciate what can be done in such situations to punish the offender as he deserves.

1 deletion is coming to this thread.

Publicly doing what you've done is both against forum rules and might be illegal under defamation laws here.

Aside, hope ya catch the guy who attacked your friend. Whoever he is.

Somehow the pic (Arab?) doesn't fit with the French name..

Why? France used to have colonies in North Africa, Or he could be from Corsica.

Just a general advice what to do in such situations, when police isn't really helpful, will be appreciated.

Does it make sense to call Embassy?

Is there any legal action at all that can be taken?

It is December 3rd or have I lost a day?

Who are you and do you have some kind of authority to be seeking him (for what reason, vigilante justice)? Why is it important to find him while he's still in Thailand?

Perhaps the police released him because they considered there was nothing to charge him with.

"...to punish the offender as he deserves"? Who says he deserves punishment, you?

Have you seen a picture of the French national football team ?

How do I know you are not a hitman and Mr Causse is your target?

I'm surprised the OP is still here.

I can post a scan of police report. It is in Thai though, but it describes what happened. Thai police doesn't want to do anything when farang is involved, so they just asked both parties to sign and released both.

We're not intending to punish him nor seek illegal vigilance. The whole purpose of the topic is to understand what to do in such situations, when police doesn't want to be involved.

Punishment can including filing with the Embassy, informing his employee, etc. I don't know. That's what I want to find out.

The ebassy won't care and won't even give you an appointment on this basis. Why would you inform his employee? Do you mean employer? Anyway, all of what your doing here is strictly against defamenation laws in Thailand. Thai police aren't interested in such a trivial matter so move on and forget about it.

There you have it. Signed, sealed and delivered.

Move on and forget it.

Thai Visa does not condone missing person, libellous and/or posts invasive of other's privacy irrespective of allegations of law breaking or anything else.
