Chevy Cruise = BMW... 5 Year Warranty and Maintenance

I see that Chevy is offering these on the 3 highest spec Cruise models for purchases through December. A pretty good deal for someone in the market for medium sized runaround vehicle...for 5 years all you pay for is gas, insurance, and washes.

I recall that Thais are always good at those freebies that are actually not free.

I'm pretty sure it does. The ad in English was pretty clear and I made it a point to read the fine print at the bottom. All scheduled maintenance items, including fluids, belts, brake pads, wipers, etc. are included for 5 years or 100k.

I'm also assuming labour to perform all these servicings is included as we'll.

Is it just me, or does that linked page seem to be going to great pains to convince you the rumors of the Cruze's crappiness aren't real?

This is a nice marketing move! Though the corporation measures this as a benefit by the number of increased sales, consumers gain the benefit of a longer warranty period - which also can serve as a good selling point should they look to sell it in 3 - 4 years.

Is the Chevy Cruze manufactured here, assembled here or just imported to LOS?

No I believe it's only offered on the Cruise (why...bad reliability rep?). The maintenance is according to a service manual with all the scheduled servicing included in the program. If one was interested in this model, one could peruse this document at a dealer.

Would be nice to see warranties in TH like Kia have (7 years) or how about Vauxhall - lifetime.

yeah, I remember. Somebody gave me a link to another forum where he was raving about his new Civic just as he did his Cruze in the beginning. I wonder if the guy ever owned a car before that Cruze. Highly doubt the Civic went bad tho...
