Featured Replies

saw one sold in a locally made packet of about 100 grams or more for 100 baht
sounds like pork-a-pet or pakapet
perhaps good for some kinds of pain and discomfort, arthitis?
and to lower blood sugar ,maybe

does anyone know about this please?
or other medicinal local herbs?

this one is like little pods you make a tea with

not sure to boil or infusion

At one time in Europe people used to take tinctures of mercury to cure syphilis

The point being if you don't know what something is or does to you don't be swallowing it......Thailand is full of snake oil salesmen

Thailand also has its own system of medicine based on thai herbs. There is a 4yr ? degree at Changmai University which is gov't recognized. There are Thai medicine pharmacists in larger cities but you will have to ask around to find them. Thai medicine is similar to Chinese medicine but has its own treatments.

They have 1 particular herb that is used to ease cancer pain and discomfort in many US states, but I think it is not legal for use here!
