Two quick questions for the experts,

1. How far in advance of my retirement visa expiration date can I extend it? I was told 45 days.

2. Is my proof of income letter from the US embassy valid for 6 months?

It is 45 days at some offices. Others may still be doing it at 30 days.

Six months is the written rule but you should ask your local office to confirm.
