Gonna get this shortly but can anyone advise on best package I their experience? I am only really interested in English speaking football and golf channels, pus documentaries. I have enough movies on my hard drive to last me a lifetime.

Was thinking about platinum but is most of it just guff?

As someone very kindly pointed out I meant soccer, not american football. I have now found out that true don't carry soccer. What's the score with cth then. Is that what I need?

True Vision has several channels that show football/soccer virtually 24 hours a day, but they lost the English Premier League coverage. They also have a lot of golf and a fair number of documentary channels like Discover, Animal Planet, History, National Geographic, etc.

If you want Premier League and not much else then CTH is pretty much a no-brainer. AFAIK they have all the major golf too (stand to be corrected - maybe some of it is on ESPN which they don't appear to have).

Myself had a big MOVE dish was fine for years, the Sat from South Africa was great + most was in English... sad day when that Sat live ended and the new Sat did not cover so far and could not get here, still could get many other FREE chanels = move the dish and look, many Sats [28 ?] cover Thailand.. so got uesd to fiddling to get TV..

Passed 2 years now have a old laptop only for TV, and get everything that is needed over the internet from around the world and FREE.. eg: last night LIVE Manchester United, myself not interested in Football but my partner is.. many you can get in HD... Yes History chanel, documentaries, crime, Bio etc.. on the old Laptop bookmarks are all saved TV websites, so is not difficult to change program.. some you do need to change you IP address, eg: you cannot get a lot from UK unless you are showing a IP from UK or Europe. never worked out why sometime is a better picture if you are logged in to Cypress or Malta or even Austrilia

I watched all F1 and many other Motor Racing from past 2 years in full HD. just cannot see any point in paying 2,000 odd baht per month + most are not even in English.. like many things once you have got used to doing a bit of fiddling is no harder to click a few times.. Friends that have TRUE Vision say if rain = no signal

CTH not sure, a friend has it, it appears pot luck if the program is in English or dubbed into Thai even with the [green button] showing the program is in English.... watch something in English the next day watch the next part and IN ENGLISH it is all dubbed in Thai ?? makes there kids crazzy.

Despite True's generally perceived bad searvice they are light years in front of CTH who never reply to phone calls and basically appear to be a bunch of complete amateurs run by ingle cell amoeba type people.

Not sure if you speak from recent experience but I had CTH in about a month ago and their local back up via Wetv and their Bangkok call centre have been very good-and respond quickly to queries. But I did hear they had problems back in July/Aug.

If you want to watch EPL there are only 2 reliable ways to do this 1 CTH,and

a very good 2nd choice, ilikehd.com , which is what i use,lot of channels,the

EPL the soundtrack is in Thai, but channel 7 is English, they have all CTH,

True ,and TOT IPTV channels,for 200bht a month the best bargain around,

but you have to stream from your computer to Tv. the site is easy to use and

picture is excellent,as servers are in Thailand.no installation fees,no contracts,

Not sure if you speak from recent experience but I had CTH in about a month ago and their local back up via Wetv and their Bangkok call centre have been very good-and respond quickly to queries. But I did hear they had problems back in July/Aug.

Thanks. I'll try Wetv. Phoned CTH call centre there times in last week before Xmas and requested a call as box broken and each time they promised their manager would phone back to fix a visit but never called back despite threatening to stop payments as book three package over 10 months. personally for me a complete waste of time.

Yes nice people at TRUE, and very caring and efficient.We cancelled their gold package as we could not get English football. To get back our 2,000 deposit they quoted 45 days when of course they could do it in 7 days if they were honest. So 113 days later, after many phone calls and being told lies (it's in the mail) we finally got a cheque which took another 3 days to clear the bank.

This is the second time we have received this treatment ,the last time when we left Bangkok to live in CM.TRUE..... morally,ethically bankrupt company and will never go near them again ,be warned

You are very lucky 5/6 years since i canceled True and still waiting

for my 4K deposit !
