Woman Arrested For Plot To Poison Husband & Mistress
By Khaosod Online

BANGKOK: -- A woman in Chonburi province has died after she drank a cup of coffee spiked with rat poison by a wife who allegedly intended to kill her husband and his mistress.

The woman, identified as Ms. Pranee Champatong, told police upon her arrest that she had plotted to kill her husband, Mr. Prasit Champatong, and his extra-marital girlfriend by contaminating bags of instant-mixed coffee with ratsbane and leaving it in his room.

However, when Mr. Prasit had been assigned to work on a night shift on 17 November and the coffee was left untouched. Later, his two coworkers, Ms. Sakonrat Khon-im and Ms. Wilaiphon Taweechat, entered the room and prepared the contaminated coffee for their own consumption.

According to Ms. Sakonrat, Ms. Wilaiphon drank the coffee in one sip, and she quickly suffered from suffocation and died 5 minutes later. Upon seeing her death, Ms. Sakonrat, who reportedly slowly sipped the coffee, alerted the neighbours and was transported to Chonburi Hospital. She survived after going through gastric lavage.

After a month of an investigation, police arrested Supranee, who confessed of the crime. She was then charged for murder and attempted murder.

The suspect said she and Mr. Prasit have been married for over 10 years with two children. She said she later learned about his extramarital affairs and had several fights with him about the issue. Ms. Supranee also claimed she had been beaten by Mr. Prasit, which became a motive of her alleged crime.

Ms. Supranee additionally admitted that she had made a mistake in her plot: she later learned that her husband likes a different flavour of the coffee, which might have been the reason he had not consumed the coffee she had poisoned.

Nasty.

Would it be unfair for this creature to be force fed rat posioned coffee and undergo the same death?

Iran's Eye for an Eye court system isn't all bad.

Self delete, bad taste post

Then why keep the pic of the Fathrr ted colleague?

You are of course referring to Father Jack, a sweet but misunderstood (having lost the power of meaningful verbal communication due to a penchant for communing with the Holy Spirits) man, barely missed by his old congregation.

Note, the policeman next to the pin-up girl can hardly compose himself from laughing and the Senior Police inspector in the middle perhaps fears what his wife may do to him also while been snapped in the act of having-a-gawk.

The police look terrific. Real crimebusters. Thai police never seem to use handcuffs.

Suspects don’t normally wear handcuffs in Thailand until after they have been charged, unless of course you resist arrest or fail to co-operate.

Sherlock Holmes would have deduced by the calendar which appears to be for a arc-welding machine (???) that the husband probably worked in metalwork/auto repairs. Since he had a mistress his business was most likely doing well - he was seldom at home hence he hadnt updated the calendar for sometime or invested in a proper sink or kitchen where she could wash and dry the dishes. All of this added to the suspicion of the wife and her eventual jealously and his own tragic demise.

The devil is always in the detail and a women scorned is a force to be reckoned with and in Thailand often a deadly force. RIP and lessons for us all.

Life is seldom fair - condemnation is easy - but would you be willing to have you and yours subject to the same stone age justice? coffee1.gif

So married for 10 years and she just now learned which coffee flavor her husband likes.

Must have been a model marriage.
