Wow, thats pretty crazy.

I guess they were just in the wrong place at the wrong time and the Police had some pent up frustration...

Things are only going to get crazier.

You'd think they would be deterred by the guy lying their nearly dead or even slightly fearful of being arrested. But this is Thailand, so...

The truth of the matter is that the police are fed up and demoralised after being used as canon fodder and stuck in the front line for weeks. One policeman has already been shot and killed by a group of thugs and several hundred have been injured. They are rapidly reaching no tolerance levels towards demonstrators, their patience is coming to an end.

The advice is that unless being officially designated to the troubled areas on approval or have legitimate reasons for being there, than stay away, otherwise those who venture into these zones do so at their own risk and discretion.

Things will be getting worse I imagine. I bet the red shirt taxi drivers are sharpening their machetes.
