May 15, 200620 yr Ballack joins the revolution. Michael Ballack has signed his three-year contract at Chelsea and is being unveiled by the Premiership champions. As expected, the Germany captain has sealed a lucrative Bosman switch to Stamford Bridge after deciding against renewing his contract with Bayern Munich. Ballack helped Bayern to another Double this season but was jeered by sections of the club's support during his farewell performance. The East German will add a touch of class to an already powerful Blues squad and is likely to be a major force in The Premiership. redrus

Are you gutted that Ballack has gone to Chelsea? I thought you guys tried to get him? Lamps, is there any further news on Shaun Wright-Phillips returning to his beloved Man City? Either on loan or to buy?

Either on loan or to buy? Not gutted in the slightest, he didn't want to come to United, he thinks he's going to a bigger club, LOL. I do not want someone who thinks he is bigger than United, before he even gets to OT........! Gattuso is the only one we should be even thinking about. redrus
May 16, 200620 yr There's only one thing wrong with the Ballack transfer, and that is he was free. What the hill are the united fans going to use as an excuse now, if he starts playing really well and gives them the title again? And no news yet, about SWP, although how would I know. BTW, I'm not the real Lampard. Edited May 16, 200620 yr by lampard10

May 16, 200620 yr BTW.. Chelsea realyy F Up'd SWP chances of playing in the World Cup... let him go and move on...... Reading will give 5m .. I speak on behalf of Steve Coppell!!! PS.. Not that we REALLY need him.. but he would be a good asset to the squad... ut we would guarantee him at least 25 starts!!

May 17, 200620 yr BTW.. Chelsea realyy F Up'd SWP chances of playing in the World Cup... I think he f'd them up himself really , being so useless. Ok he's a great winger, but nothing hardly ever comes of it. It rate him in the same boat as Jesper Gronkear, but the Dane at least managed a few good crosses. And also, as soon as he has his sights on goal, he goes to pieces. Maybe it's because the temperament of playing for a big club has got to him, in that case what could he possibly do for England. Agreed, the lad has talent, but why does he always want to beat that seventh player when he has beaten six?
May 17, 200620 yr From what I have read today....Roberto Carlos could well be on his way to Chelsea, that would be an IMMENSE signing.. talk of Del Horno going in the opposite direction with one other player, don't know who, maybee the "Fall Guy". Can't see SWP going there! However SWP seemed a good buy at the time, very expensive though..what's he worth now Lamps that he is not even an International Player anymore? But I have to disgree over your comaprison with SWP and old Jesper... he was complete RUBBISH.. only scored one good goal and that you will remember was supposed to be a cross.. well thats what the commentators said
May 17, 200620 yr I agree that SWP screwed himself up. I mean, what was he thinking, leaving Man City and signing for Chelsea when he knew he'd spend the season on the bench, at EXACTLY the time when he needed to be playing regularly to secure a World Cup berth. In one season he has gone from the one of the most exciting players in Britain, to becoming a bit-player. I pity the lad, and deplore whoever advised him. He should have stayed at Man City another season, and then moved.
