I seek your opinion as to whether you think Suvarnabhumi airport will be closed or affected during the proposed 5 day Bangkok shutdown. I have some friends flying in from the mother country around this time and would like to know what the chances are.

I believe that the "Yellow Mob" have said it is not on their agenda, but they do have an agenda of major disruption and anything can happen.

Not the best time to visit, best put of visit until there is some form of normality.

There are other ways than closing the airport to disrupt air travel, for instance a siege of oil refineries could stop the flow of aviation fuel, a siege of Air Traffic Control could stop flights, Blockade of major roads around the Airport could stop passengers a fright getting to and from the airport..
