Isaan from the numerous times I have been there it is no different then anywhere else, the people in general are good people, the odd bad ones on the take if you allow it.

Overall I think the good people of isaan cop a bad wrap because of the minority who make it look bad.

Another thing I noticed, thai woman hold onto the money and give thai men an allowance,do they all do this,I don't know.

If you know a thai for ten years, and they know a thai for two day,if you fall out with the two day thai same will take the side of the two day thai over your ten years.

Thai food, especially isaan food kicks ass.

Thai street crossings mean nothing.

For all the annoying little habits that others and I will always talk about, wether they are worth a mention or not.

For all the things big or small that I foolishly let get to me,Thailand is awesome, and that's an understatement.

Only in Thailand have I walked around on numerous occasions with such a natural high, like I had been injected with a mix of adrenalin and who knows what else.

So much character,so much charm,for all it's beauty,and it's ugliness,it is a pretty cool place.

And who can forget the wife and two children.

There is much to love here, even when things do rile you up for a few hours Thailand is my second home.

Hope you expats found your dream, good luck.
