CTH Installation on C-Band - same channels as KU-Band ?

I would appreciate some advice please.

I have a 10.5 foot Dynasat mesh dish with both C-band and KU-band LNB's. As the dish has not been used for several years (since the demise of Multichoice), I am not sure the LNB's still work.

I have just climbed up the 12 foot pole it is on to paint it and replace the coax cable ready to get someone to come and set it up for CTH viewing. I have decided to replace the C-Band LNB and remove the KU-band LNB.

I thought just having the C-Band LNB would be the best option.

I then read somewhere, that some of the channels are not transmitted on C-Band.

In particular, the Premier League football, which is what I really am interested in.

I checked out the packages transmitted on Lyngsat and that was confusing

Although I set up the dish myself last time, I really do not feel like spending the time to do it again, so I was also looking for a decent installer near to where I live in Pattaya. I am about 10 Km's outside Pattaya going towards Bangkok.

So if someone could please confirm that I can watch the Premier League on C-Band I would be very grateful.

Also, if someone could recommend a decent installer in Pattaya, that would be good as well.

I recently went to the installer next to Index on the Sukhumvit, at the junction of Sukhumvit and Central Pattaya. They seemed OK and will do the CTH installation for me,but I bought a GMM box from them to connect to my old True dish that I installed myself.

It worked OK, but they gave me wrong information about the packages GMM offer - there was a free subscription to the 'gold' package for a year that they knew nothing about - not the end of the world - but I really would like the best 'deal' if I am going to have CTH for the next 2 years.

I was clicking around the CTH website and found this page - it answers my question about C-Band having the football.

Terms of Use
