Well, went to this La Monita the other night....and after never being fond of Mexican food...this place was outstanding.

The food was great, the service was excellent and the place was full...every table, even outside.

If this place is real mexican food, then I love it and just goes to show that all the other rubbish in town such as sunrise etc are just the usual fast food rubbish shots catering to those that do not care what they eat.

We will be back for sure...just wish I could remember the names of the dishes to quote them, but all of it was good.

ooooooh...uber scary conspiracy theorist alert.....

If you must know...cos my son pesters me every time to go eat Mexican and we always stay in soi 12...so the inclination was to go to that one nearby with the incredibly bad food...we ate there last year......so told him I would find somewhere better and looks like we have....much much better....but I was always hesitant to go to any new place as I had eaten at coyote in soi convent, nothing special...the one that is or used to be near the entrance to patpong...same same...sunrise, matches the quality of subway rubbish.....so all in all I had felt that mexican was rubbish in general.

But I like to please my kids and based on recommendations...went to this place and the food was outstanding.

So there ya go.

You don't need to be a conspiracy theorist to know that particular restaurant serves excellent food.

I hear very good things about El Mariachi Taqueria but sadly the last time we went to Seacon Square was a Monday...when they are closed.

Sunrise still sucks and will always IMHO.

Sunrise has good food. Apart from the nachos which are cheap and nasty!
