Tourist Police apprehend Chinese burglary ring

Tourist Police apprehended a group of Chinese burglars who have been stealing more than 400,000 baht of properties from tourists.

Police Major General Panya Mamen (ปัญญา มาเม่น), the head of the Tourist Police, conducted a press release pertaining to the tourist police's success in apprehending six suspects related to a Chinese burglary ring who have been stealing from tourists.

Seized goods include wristwatches, purses, articles of clothing, and passports, amounting to over 400,000 baht worth of property.

The suspects have been operating in large department stores, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, and Don Muang Airport.

One of the gang members, Mr. Zun Ju, was arrested by tourist police in 2005, but escaped to China, before returning to commit burglary in Thailand once again.
