Tiger Airways Discounted Flights

Featured Replies

Three days ago, Tiger Airways were promoting a cheap flight offer of 24 baht, one-way, Bangkok/Singapore and vice-versa. Book before 31st may 2006 and fly until 31st October 2006.

Sounds great but too good to be true, I thought.......and so it is. I trawled through the flight schedules of Tiger Airways to find two seats on a return trip to Singapore from Bangkok.....and I found a flight on the return leg from Singapore to Bangkok offering cheap seats.

On Monday, 11th September, a special "Internet Discounted Fare" of 30 baht was being offered but, when I proceeded to book the return flight, the 'taxes and fees' amounted to an inflated 3,795 baht. I know that this total cost is lower than the major airlines but it is very deceptive.

I had a look yesterday morning just out of curiosity..............what you need to do is book 2 one way tickets to get the best price rather than a return.

The 2 i found were in October (4 day stay) both 30 baht each way but the extras took the flight up to approx 2500 baht from i remember..............didnt book it as i already have tickets booked from when AirAsia were handing out "freebie" tickets xmas gone.
