Pornthip Rojanasunand...................

Pornthip's four-year term as CIFS Director expired in April 2012, and her term was extended for one year until April 2013. Yingluck Shinawatra's Council of Ministers decided not to give any further extension and removed her from the office in May 2013. Pornthip was given the position of Inspector General of the Ministry of Justice instead. Pornthip herself believed that the removal was motivated by politics, saying that some politicians might have been upset with her work. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pornthip_Rojanasunand

The good doctor relaxing with friends..

Strange that almost everybody who has direct contact with the current government, supports Suthep.

i'm breaking my head about what the reason could be for that .

We don't know the victim's stance when he was shot, do we? If he was bending over from the truck, talking to someone, the bullets could have come from above.

As for hearing the rifle sound and then the impact, the bullet would be traveling at least twice the speed of sound and it would impact before any noise was heard (if fired from a distance.) If very close range, the sounds could be perceived as the same as the impact.

I wouldn't trust any so called Thai 'Doctor' with the autopsy of a Mouse let alone a Human Being. I would bet my last buck that a Western pathologist would come up with very different findings. The Female concerned is just another clown in the Thai circus.

PDRC are saying it was snipers, correct?

Saw tweets that said witnesses say that there "there were many guns" - but nothing about snipers. Also saw a picture on Twitter earlier showing what looked to be two men with guns who were part of the group fighting with the NSPRT. The first assumption in every incident now seems to be that snipers were behind it - but in many of these cases there seems to be no evidence for that.

This video possibly shows the shooter: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGHGSI-hPm4

I thought pathologists could at least form a view of what kind of gun and ammunition was used from the type of wounds inflicted. A high velocity rifle bullet has a very different trajectory from a pistol round and is more likely to exit at sufficient velocity to be hard to find. An AK-47 bullet trajectory is also different from an M16's but less so at very close range when the difference in tumbling is not so distinct.

I remember a lot of nonsense about this though in the to-ing nad fro-ing of pathologists with different agendas regarding the red shirt deaths in 2010 when a lot of effort went into trying to prove they were killed by M16s, as carried by the army, after the change of government, even though there were YouTube clips of MIB also firing M16s.

Pornthip doesn't have quite the credibility she once had, since she endorsed the use of plastic dousing rods with nothing inside them for detecting explosives.

Two entry and two exit wounds. Nobody has seen any gunman. It is safe to say he was killed from a high powered rifle/s from distance. Watching the footage with sound, there is a good delay between report and stike which adds weight to a sniper style attack.

In both cases they state the entry wounds are low and exit high. Indicating he was shot by someone lower than he was. As in standing on the street with him in a truck. Now as to 2 shooters, It is also entirely possible he turn when hit by shot one and got hit from an different angle by shot two, in either case low entry and high exit.

You must have read my post. OR we think alike.

Agreed, also due to the nature of people here changing their story I wouldn't be surprised to read tomorrow it was actually the magic bullet at work but definitely Cambodian. Pornthip is about as credible an expert on anything these days as her dousing rods. May as well ask a monk to read the tarot cards.

Btw who stays in the same position when shot ? its almost a physical impossibility. Ballistics experts in Thailand ? cheesy.gif

Now that you mentioned clowns, you should fell right at home. Dr. Pornthip has far more credibility than you will ever have.

Is it possible that he could have been shot, then turned around 180 degrees and got shot again? That would indicate the shots came from 1 direction, not 2. Sometimes pople tend to move when they get shot. It doesn't mean that there were shooters on two sides.

A very prominent defender of the GT200 is scientist Dr. Pornthip, a forensic scientist who is well known for her flashy hair styles. She had already fallen from grace when she defended the bogus bomb-sniffer right after it failed government tests (out of 20 tests, it only worked 4 times!) in early 2010.

Ahe came out again with these stunning statements defending the device:

The head of the the Justice Ministry’s Central Institute of Forensic Science believes bomb attacks in the deep South have increased as a result of the CIFS’s decision to stop using the GT200 bomb detector. (…)

She also said there were too many variables involved when using the GT200 for it to be infallible. Khunying Pornthip said there have been more frequent bomb attacks in the South since then.

‘More attacks’ since GT200 phased out“, Bangkok Post, July 24, 2012

It in fact dosnt work at all and never did.... yes shes very credible these days whistling.gif

Many people were fooled by that scam. A number of countries spent large amounts of money to purchase many of them. Dr. Porthip has performed over 10,000 autopsies and is considered an expert in the specialty of forensics, not bomb detectors. Anyone can make a mistake based on misinformation given to them about something that they would have little knowledge of.

Always did like the lady, she spoke the truth as I know of dead straight--but she ruffled feathers because of her honesty.

Posters a long time ago were stunned they never asked her to do the hotel mystery deaths in Chiang Mai--that was a big scam in my eyes.

First, let me say that I find it disgusting that the people of Thailand do not care that anyone can be assasinated in public by trained members of a foreign countries military force.<snip>

Sent from my GT-P7500 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Stop talking like an imbecile. The "trained members of a foreign country" bullshit is just that, typical Thai refusal to accept that Thais are perfectly capable of killing Thais, and getting in a racist put-down of the "savage Cambodians" while they're at it. Do you really want to descend to their IQ level?

Getting shot by a high velocity round will put you on your back, if the fatal shot was the first shot, then he would have dropped like a ragdoll as the shot is in the Triangle which pretty much kills all communication to the brain by the extremities, the impact of a high velocity round travelling at over 1000 feet per second hitting the skull, could also in some circumstances smash the skull like an egg.Small entry wounds, and large exit wounds

I was a registered firearms holder in the UK, and part of my old job was predator control on fish farms, and that was to shoot seals, who caused damage to salmon farms, and I've shot quite a few in my time when I was there, and every one of them head shots, the skulls were broken and the over pressure from the entry to exit also caused eyes to "pop out" of their sockets from time to time
No I'm not a ballsitics or forensics expert by a long shot, but I know what the damage a high velocity, and low velocity can do.
10 years in Iraq and I've seen plenty of it up close and personal.

i agree but any professional in a field should know to stick to it and let others in their field stick to thiers. Point is it ruins your reputation in your own field if you come out and put your neck on the block and found to be full of it. Which she has.

Well they can't say the bullets came from One Direction - who were currently recording in Los Angeles at the time......

They said Thaksin was responsible in 2010 because he'd promised his supporters he'd be right there beside them when the bullets started flying - but he was out shopping in Paris at the time......

Just seen enhance footage which show 2, maybe 3 guys with shorts firing from the intersection up into the back of the truck.

Haven't seen that, but of the two videos I have seen:

Shooter seems to be in white at 0:35 seconds on this. The anti-govt truck is seen on the top right.

Put it together with this:

Looks like he could've been shot from two directions. One gunman from the right and least one other approaching from behind.
