Never came across them if I did I wouldn't have known what they meant.

The only ones I know are turn left/right, roundabout etc.

My first car offence speed fine was doing 37 in a 30 mph area ( as in built up area ), caught in one of em so called speed guns, try to argue no 30 mph signs but was told I have been allowed for 10% speedo error and +2 mph already, your nicked.
