Opening Files On Windows Explorer

Hi,

A simple question please God.

I like all my files in windows explorer to be opened in CONTENT mode.

You know when you have a drop-down where you can set it to list-details-titles etc..

I keep changing them to CONTENT but only some of them reopen in content.

Is there any way to set them all to open in CONTENT mode always.

Thanks

For Win 7 go to Organize, then Folder and Search Options. Then the View tab, then Apply to Folders.

However if you have folders of different Types, then you may need to repeat the process for each type.

Google will doubtless have the answer somewhere.

Suggest you do a google or bing search for Tweak Windows Explorer, specific to your version of windows, and either follow the written guide or find a downloadable app that can set it system wide.

Suggested search words:

Tweak Windows Explorer

Tweak Windows Explorer View Options

Looks like one option might be to right-click the root folder (or if you have several root folders select them all before right-clicking), then Properties, then Customize tab, then choose General Items from the drop down list, then tick the box below, then Apply. I've a feeling that might be what I did...
