Extending your stay on a Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

Hey can anyone give some advice regarding a 60 day tourist visa for Thailand obtained in Malaysia?

My boyfriend's tourist visa runs out on 8th February, he got the previous 60 day one in Penang, and I've heard he can extend it in Thailand for another 30 days, with the TM.7 form for 1,900 baht, is this correct?

If so, what immigration building should he go to in Bangkok? Or does he have to do a visa run out the country?

Thanks for your help, im a newbie to this!!

Laura

Correct, he can extend for 30 days for 1,900 baht at any immigration office in Thailand.

For Bangkok that would be here: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/695053-bangkok-immigration-opens-additional-offices-during-demonstrations/

He fills out the form and needs copies of his passport and arrival card, as well as a passport photo.

The 30 day extension is done at immigration. Doing it early does not loose anytime because extension starts from end of permit to stay.

A completed TM7 form with attached photo and copies of passport photo page, visa, entry/permit to stay stamp and TM6 departure card. Fee is 1900 baht.
