Fish for dinner

Just cut up an 8kg spanish mackeral, wife got it from one of the barges that loads the ships in the gulf, caught it on the way back to port. Was quite surprised actually when I saw it, they caught 2 on some ganged hooks I gave them a while back so it will be fresh and very enjoyable(I hope), looks clean but they didnt bleed it so I had to cut out a bit of blood meat. Havent seen that many good fish taken in the gulf due to all the pro netters, nice to know that there are still some good fish getting around in there. The ships anchor up straight out from Don Sak in slighlty deeper water(8 metres at most) and I have never seen any surface action the times we have been out to them although they usually handline heaps of squid and small whiting from the barges tied up to the ships. Will do it tempura with a salad and do some bruschetta with the ciabatta my wife makes, cant wait.biggrin.png
