60 day extension to remain on a 30 day Visa on Arrival !

Firstly ... it's not a question, but a statement ... I just did it.

I arrived on a 30 day Visa Exempt and a week later my TWINS were born ... 3 weeks prematurely!

I was already to do a Visa Run but was greatly assisted by one of the Mods who suggested an extension to stay based on the birth of the TWINS.

He gave me the low down on what was needed ... I told my gf ... she rang the local Immi guys ... they wanted that and more ... a case of the regional variation of each office over and above the rules/guidelines.

We have to drag 'Daddy' (gf's Father as living proof that I was living there) along ... ... that alone cost me fancy noodles (for 5 ... he ate 2 bowls ... must have hollow legs those Farmers!) and a chocolate persuader (for him) ...

The actual extension doesn't have any name that I know ... but was granted.

There were a few 'tut tut's as we weren't married but I scored a lady Immigration Officer and the gf had her phone with her. I asked her if she wanted to see the TWINS ... of course.

The gf was hesitant ... but I pinched her under the table and like stirrups on horse, spurred her into action.

There were oohs and arhs ... and a fair number of swoons ... and any real or perceived road blocks vanished and was asked (almost) if 60 days was enough!

So, a story of dealing with Samut Prakan Immigration Office ...

But really, a tale of thanks to the Mods who run this Sub-Forum, whose work often goes unappreciated ... maybe, more correctly, not recognised.
