do you know witch options are better and safer than giving your passport for renting bikes, of couse here in thailand? and could i use my "laminated color copy/photo of passport"?

i heard some people said the shop may rent a car with anbody passport and then making real problem for the passport owner!

If they don't accept a copy of your passport and you don't want to pay a deposit then move on to the next one who will, simple as that

If they dont take your copy make as the last reply you run to other shoop

Never give up your passport here in Thailand. If they won't do business with you, go elsewhere. Copies should be just fine.
