chiang mai
A total of 160 bags of rice were damaged or destroyed by fire and this represents a coverup of the rice lending scheme? You guys are really funny! Just as all of their cover ups are handled, it was bungled!! Why they thought that setting fire to a sack of rice would wipe the warehouse off the face of the earth is anybody's guess. The fire couldn't have started in the middle of the heap for starters as there would be insufficient oxygen available to sustain a fire so that's a lie for a start!!! Only having two of the three elements (ignition source, oxygen and fuel) available does not in any event lead to a fire!!!! It is possible however that a group of farang scuba tourists convened to create mischief, Possibly they purchased a long hose from a hardware store and connected one end to their scuba tanks and inserted the other end into the middle of the pile of rice sacks, possible, no? Thaddeus
Is it insured and if so, who has the insurance paperwork? Accidental damage would be covered normally wouldn't it, is arson? "Sorry to hear about the fire Somchai" "Shhhhhhh..... that's not until next week)

I hadn't thought of that scenario. It sounds plausible as well!!! They should find out who the accomplices are and deport them immediately, they should know better than to interfere in Thai politics - especially at this highly sensitive time!!
