I was just starting to shut down labtop,when I was shocked from my hand holding compiter. Now labtop feels vary hot after short time on it, any help ? astral Posted May 28, 2006 Share Posted May 28, 2006 (edited) You do not say what model of laptop you are using, or whether you have a/c in the room where you are working. Modern machines do use fast processors and need good cooling. My HP NX8220 even has heatpipes to get the heat out to the fan, that seems to run most of the time. If you are using the machine on your lap. Make sure you are not blocking the input or output vents for the fan. However as you had the lightning problem that may have caused damage. It is probably best to get the authorised service centre to check the machine out, and they will probably be in Bangkok, but you may strike luck in Chiang Mai.
