Chriso12
I have a broker account in the USA from which I would like to send money to Siam Commercial Bank. I have send money from my european account to SCB - never a problem. Now I know that with American Banks you sometimes have to write a receiving bank and a beneficary bank name. So, does anyone know whether I can just directly wire my funds to SCB from America or do I need to state a correspondent bank as well? My broker told me that I need to ask Siam Commercial Bank...and Siam Commercial Bank told me to ask my American Bank...

Chriso12
Thanks a lot for the replies. I am with a broker called "Choicetrade", so I am not with a Primary Dealer. I will send a small amount and see how it works out Edited February 19, 2014 by Chriso12

Thailand J
Is there a way we can find out how much a bank charges to act as intermediary bank? For years I thought I was paying HSBC $25 but I have just found out it's free.
Pib
wire money from my credit union account in the states all the time to SCB never had to fill out such a form or was never asked to Most banks/credit unions don't make you go digging for possible details such as a correspondent/intermediary bank needed to completed the transfer..they'll find out themselves. But it seems other banks/credit unions/companies are not as customer supportive like the OP seems to be experiencing.
Langsuan Man
I posted what my US credit union wanted so the OP would know all the information that made numerous SWIFT transactions go smoothly. It is easier to give too much information than to not give enough Sent from my Nexus 4 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
