Road painters show Pattaya drivers the way

PATTAYA:--Pattaya drivers will have one fewer excuse for illegal lane changes now the city workers have begun repainting dividing lines throughout the city.

Work on the 1.9 million baht project began Feb. 6 on Thepprasit Road between Sukhumvit Road and the Grand condominium. The 2.7 kilometers are only the first stretch of the repainting project, which is expected to take six months to complete.

the only way this will make a difference is if the lines they are painting are a metre tall

It might even remind the guy on the bike to put a helmet on!........Road safety and all that!

Fantastic !!

This initiative should sort the traffic problems out. cheesy.gif

What a good idea.

I look forward to driving on Thepprasit now .

Must be kind of quiet in Pattaya now.

Yep, repainting road markings are as interesting as Pattaya gets these days.

Wonder what our fellow Pattaya expert Jingthing makes of this-comments JT please wai2.gif

This is a start , maybe some Thais will think different now

Now if only the drivers that have been shown the way, will follow it

I hope the paint is waterproof.

Outside the entrance to the Outlet mall, one of the two yellow lines in the middle of the road just stops. Paint shortage I guess.

Also, full marks to the dude that painted a line right through the middle of a pothole.

I think it's great that roads now have lines. Good on you City Hall.

I would suggest though, also putting up the signs which explain what lines actually mean

I wish they had spent the money on resurfacing 2nd and South Pattaya road instead.

Thepprasit Rd. now has two red lines down the middle of the road. That'll be for the guy who regularly walks along the centre line.
