DokmaiCM
Bought some small plums today in Warorot Market , quite red and small some a little sweet most sour so will cook them. The sellers all sitting by the roadside said from Chiang Rai, so this had me thinking that they were probably from a prolific rootstock that could be used for grafting named varieties. Anybody know if full size plums available in Chaing Mai or Rai. The ones I bought were 40 baht for a pint sized pot and would be ideal for chutney or tarts. quidnunc
I made jam out of them. Got them at a local market for 40 baht per kilo. If I had the patience and a cherry pitter, they would probably make a great pie or tarte.
