shaurene
thai police solve a crime! They are very good at solving many crimes, and getting the ones that got away after questioning the one they get, Pattaya police are good at that.

Emster23
A few weeks ago a couple of student's were arrested for similar crime. Did we ever find out what the punishment was? I would guess if 500 baht fine the word got around, as it does in schools. Low risk/punishment cost, high potential payoff. Example that Thai students can learn and apply economics to business situations.
EyesWideOpen
My god......was this an accidental case of community policing ? You know, the silly farang police system where police actually walk through a community, and their presence either deters criminals, or allows them to catch criminals in the act. The Thai police version of fighting crime, which seem to consist of manning checkpoints and fining people, does not seem to be doing a real good job of stopping crime........ The bib cant arrest him though as he has 'connections; ? P.s. Why has someone quoted a post from MMarlow that doesn't seem to exist on this thread? Has it been removed? Does he have connections too? Maybe its the missing sspect who commented because someone insulted his fathers job?
