Sorry for the question as I should know since I went thru this a few years back but I am trying to shepherd a friend thru the Retirement Visa process and my gray cells seem to remember incorrect. We got the 90 day NIO a couple weeks ago out at Lad Prao but the folks we dealt with did not have great English skills. One lady seems to have told us that he could apply for the 1 year visa 60 days from the expiration of the 90-day NIO. Another person told us 45 days from the expiration. If any one knows the correct amount of days it would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can do the extension in Bangkok as early as 45 days before the 90 day entry ends. But if money in the bank it would need to be there 60 days.
