Sosofitel by lumpini park - is it safe?

Featured Replies

Afternoon/evening,

myself and my partner are booked into the Sosofitel for 3 nights next week, my girlfriend has read reports of a death in lumpini park and people on the tripadvisor forum are telling her no to stay at sosofitel.

Obviously i dont want to put ourselves at risk but the hotel seems to be running as normal

anyone got advice please? safe to stay there you think?

thanks

Sofitel is an excellent place

Depending on the exit you are taking you won't even pass Lumpini

In any case, nothing is happening there ( of course the whole park and a small portion of the road from Rama IV to the Red Cross are occupied but really no danger at all)

I live on Silom

Thank you very much, that is exactly what i needed to hear, especially as iv already paid for it lol ... got a suite and it looks stunning.

cheers

Im in silom right now and was staying on Lang Suan and was running/cycling around Lumpini park daily during the peak of his BS. You have nothing to be concerned about mate, enjoy yourselves.

Ditto. I live in the area and wouldn't hesitate to stay there.

Sosofitel is in Sathon, the place to be for any protest action is at the main entrance to Lumpini park on the corner of Rama 4 Ratchadamri and Silom road.

Don't worry, that area has never been in the protest picture afaik.

Sofitel is a number one hotel

It is safe!Don'worry
