Can I get a non immigrant visa if I am studying about thai culture and music? Right now I am learning at a cultural center but it's non profit, and not a company. The lady is a famous artist though. Could I get her to write a letter for me and then file for the (ed) section of a non immigrant visa? anyone know if this is possible? give me a hollar! thanks.

i want to stay for however long possible. now i just have a tourist visa. ive been doing the visa run thing to vientiane for like a year now. im tired of going back and forth. i want to get a longer visa. should i apply in my country? i heard it's easier. I am from los angeles, california. what do i need to get a non immigrant visa? should i have my teacher sign a letter saying i am learning the music? im also making an album. i have also been on the television. the lady has received awards from the king and queen on thailand. will this help in the paperwork? could you tell me the specifics and process? thanks!

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs requirement for ED visa:

Transcript / Letter of acceptance from the concerned schools/universities or institutes ("ED")

along with the normal requirements for a non immigrant visa. Not sure if your letter would be acceptable or not; but you might have better luck at a Consulate other than LA.
