inspired by rcpilot many months ago, assembled a drone rig for myself to capture aerial footage of chiang mai and thailand in general. heres some footage from a recent trip down south:

and here's a wat near chiang mai:

look for more videos of chiang mai and other areas to be posted soon.

Good videos and good music. Looking forward to seeing some more.

thx, guys. look forward to posting more soon.

Can not wait to see more

Especially of Chiang Mai

Will have to wait for the haze to clear. Doing the Wat Saphan Yoo vid right now wouldn't look very nice. ;)

exactly. it was mighty depressing to come back to chiang mai after being down south for a few weeks. 4-5 months of no blue skies (or at least very rarely blue) and smog is not exactly appealing. makes one rethink whether chiang mai is the place to be...

Amazing technology! Thank you for sharing.

I wish to suggest that the governor of Chiang Mai deploy drones to video the fires that are burning in the hills. Government officials tell us the burning is happening in remote areas where they cannot investigate and enforce the law. Use drone videos to pinpoint the "hotspots," and then send in the Border Patrol Police and the Pha Mueang Task Force (Thai Army) to conduct "knock and talk" operations in target villages.

Something needs to be done NOW - before we all choke to death!
